Kumamoto Revival Project
In April 2016, the Kumamoto Earthquake struck, causing widespread damage and hardship. Just days later, on April 17, Kumamoto-born manga artist Eiichiro Oda sent a heartfelt message to the people of his hometown: “I will definitely come to help.”
Inspired by this message and as a symbol of hope and resilience, the “ONE PIECE Kumamoto Revival Project” was launched through a collaboration between Eiichiro Oda’s manga ONE PIECE and Kumamoto Prefecture. The project aims to serve as a driving force for recovery and to bring encouragement to the region as it rebuilds.
