Aso Shrine
Aso Shrine, with a history spanning approximately 2,300 years, serves as the principal shrine among the nearly 500 Aso shrines throughout Japan.
Six of its structures, including the main hall and the tower gate, have been designated as Important Cultural Properties of Japan. Notably, the tower gate is the largest of its kind in Kyushu and is recognized as one of Japan’s Three Great Tower Gates.
